The NYSRA/RRTI Offices are located at 155 Washington Avenue, Suite 410, Albany, NY.
NYSRA/RRTI has secured limited free parking in a lot on Sheridan Avenue, a seven (7) minute walk uphill from the office. The parking lot is located between 223 (beige house with brown trim) and 215 (blue/gray house) on Sheridan Avenue on a first come first serve basis. A sign posted in the lot reads "Permit parking/462-2534/All others will be towed." If the parking lot on Sheridan is inaccessible due to snow or excess parking, there is an additional lot on Sheridan that can be used. It's on the same side of the street on the corner of Sheridan and Dove. A parking pass available from NYSRA/RRTI must be displayed on your car dashboard.
To reach our office, walk back to Lark Street, make a left, walk up Lark Street to Washington Avenue, make a left passing the Armory Buildinig, pass the Albany library and the next building is 155 Washington Avenue. At the front door please find a button panel to the left of the double doors. Press the red button and you will hear a dial tone. Press 410 and it will ring the NYSRA/RRTI office. The receptionist will answer and buzz you in.
From the South - NYS Thruway:
Take Exit 23 and proceed through tollbooth onto I-787 North. Take the Empire State Plaza Exit. Proceed under the Empire State Plaza to South Swan Street (first right at end of under-pass.) Go to the second light and turn left onto Washington Avenue. NYSRA/RRTI offices are located at 155 Washington Avenue, one and a half blocks on the right. To park in the free NYSRA/RRTI parking lot on Sheridan Avenue, proceed past the NYSRA/RRTI offices to the next street (Lark Street) and turn right. Go three blocks to Sheridan Avenue and turn right. The parking lot is located a half block down on your left (See above).
From the North - I-87 (Northway):
Take I-87 South to Exit 1E. Bear left and follow signs for I-90 East. From I-90 East take Exit 6 (Arbor Hill & Henry Johnson Blvd.) Follow directions below.
From the West:
Take I-90 Eastbound to Exit 24. After tolls, follow signs to I-90 East (Boston.) From I-90 East take Exit 6 (Arbor Hill & Henry Johnson Blvd.) Follow directions below.
From the East:
Take I-90 Westbound to Exit 6 (Arbor Hill & Henry Johnson Blvd.) Follow directions below.
From Exit 6 (Arbor Hill & Henry Johnson Blvd.):
The Exit 6 Arbor Hill exit ramp turns into Henry Johnson Blvd. at the first light. At the third light, turn left onto Clinton Avenue; then take the next right onto Lark Street. To park in the free NYSRA/RRTI parking lot, take the second left onto Sheridan Avenue. The parking lot is located a half block down on your left (See above). To reach the NYSRA/RRTI offices, proceed on Lark Street three more blocks and turn left onto Washington Avenue. Our offices are the third building down on the left.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Garage - (518) 465-4933 (6 blocks downhill from office) (formerly known as the Omni Hotel) Corner of Lodge and Pine Streets - $12.50 all day - hourly rates available.
Handicapped Parking - Available in front and back of building (first come/first served)
Parking meters are also available on Washington Avenue. The meters take quarters ($1 per hour) and have a two hour limit, at which time you must put in more quarters.
